Vacancy - L2 & L3 Nursery Teaching Assistant

South Molton Community Primary School will be opening a new Nursery in Spring 2025 for 2 and 3 year old children in order to provide a cohesive foundation stage unit where Nursery and Reception children will learn together.

We have a vacancies for level 2 (grade B) and level 3 (grade C) Nursery Assistants and we are looking for exceptional candidates who:

  • will be enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated working alongside the nursery team to support all children across all areas of the EYFS curriculum

  • will be required to work under the direction of the EYFS Lead Teacher and liaise with other professionals both within and outside the nursery setting 

  • will be expected to show a high degree of initiative and be able to react to given solutions with integrity and compassion

  • have experience of working with children. Ideally, within a nursery environment

  • can inspire and motivate children and enable them to be the best that they can be

  • has the ability to encourage every child to learn and achieve and has enthusiasm, skill and desire to make a difference

  • has a passion to ensure high expectations for all ensuring that they make outstanding progress

Vacancy - Mealtime Assistant

South Molton Community Primary School is an expanding school offering excellent opportunities for learning and development for both pupils and staff.  The successful candidate will lead high quality play and sport provision in the playground whilst ensuring the supervision, safety and welfare of the children during their lunch break.

The person appointed must:

  • Enjoy working with and relate well to young children.

  • Be enthusiastic and have creative ideas on how to engage and lead children in physical activity, whether through sports or games.

  • Be patient, firm and understanding of young children’s needs.
